Chocolateless candy bar loans?

Basically anything that exploits someone's addiction or financial distress. Promoting gambling to populations that struggle with addiction, offering high interest loans to people can't afford it, preying on house mortgage distress, etc.

The state of gambling today is fucking wild to me. It feel like up until a few years ago if you made a trip to Vegas/Atlantic City more than once a year you had a problem. Even buy scratches for more than a laugh was seen as seedy.

It's a nightmare for people with gambling problems. At least in the old days you needed to leave our house to place a bet and there was some limit to what you could bet on. Now you can sit on your couch all day and place bets on just about anything. As someone that doesn't have a problem I personally love the apps and enjoy a sports bet. But I know these guys prey hard on people that really need to not gamble.

Like the CA lottery? Available at every liquor store, gas station and discount cigarette store. Who congregates in those locations? The poor, hoping for a win. Who spends the most on those scratchers? The poor. All for 'education' which is massively overfunded and underperforming in the state. CA should be ashamed of itself for promoting the lottery. Vegas is jealous.

Anyone willing to accept the billions of dollars in research grants paid for by taxpayers. These companies get tax breaks and government funding and then price gouge sick people.

Loan money to desparate/poor people at high interest. It's how the big banks made it big.
